Make Something Sunday: Stamped Flour Sack Towels

Make Something Sunday: Stamped Flour Sack Towels

Thank you for stopping by Make Something Sunday, where we post a new craft every Sunday from our favorite DIY bloggers! We want to inspire you to create at home with simple and fun crafts. Let's get started!

Today we are featuring a craft from Meghan Goetz of Twine and Braids. Meghan lives in New Jersey with her husband and brand new baby. She launched her blog as platform to share her Etsy shop, where she sells many of her cute, handcrafted goods! Today we will be making Meghan's Stamped Flour Sack Towels. This craft has a lot of versatility, as you can literally stamp any design onto your towel that your heart desires! The supplies you will need are: flour sack towels, rubber stamps or stencils, fabric paint, and a sponge. It's also important to have a flat, covered surface to use as a work station. This project is as simple as using your sponge to apply fabric paint to your stamp, then stamping directly onto the towel. Allow approximately 24 hours for the paint to dry before using your towel or washing it. That's it!

For our towels, we will be using the You Are Beautiful Rubber Stamp ($15), available here at Neighborly. You Are Beautiful will be such a sweet reminder while we create masterpieces in the kitchen (or just pour a bowl of cereal). We also plan to hand them out as gifts to friends!

We would love to see your take on this craft! Tag us on social media with the handles below and #makesomethingsunday and we’ll send you a code for $5 off at the shop (one per person)! Happy crafting and don’t forget to come back next Sunday for our next craft or sign up for our Make Something Sundays email list and we’ll send you an email every time we post a new craft!
