Ordering & Shipping
Order Processing
USPS requires the name on the package to be the same name on the mailbox for package delivery. Please be sure to use the name on the mailbox at the shipping address, and/ or the company name and the apartment or suite number when submitting your order!
Orders process in 1-3 business days and will be shipped by the shipping service selected during checkout. Please visit usps.com or ups.com for estimates of exact transit times from our zip code, 60625 to your destination. If your order is urgent and must arrive by a certain date, please contact us before or immediately after placing your order at knock [at] neighborlyshop [dot] com.
Shipping
Once your package has shipped, Neighborly will contact you with the appropriate tracking information for your order. This cost can be applied toward a more expensive shipping option if a faster or alternate service is needed.
For shipments within the USA:
> USPS First Class Mail usually arrives in 2-14 business days and is not guaranteed.
> USPS Priority Mail usually arrives in 2-7 business days and is not guaranteed, it includes $50 in insurance.
> USPS Priority EXPRESS Mail usually delivers in 1 business day except for AK, HI or rural areas and is guaranteed. Please check here for service commitments. We may require 1-2 business days for order processing in addition to shipping, please contact us before ordering if your order is time-sensitive.
> UPS Ground usually arrives in 1-5 business days and is guaranteed except during the holiday season. It includes $100 in insurance.
> UPS Next Day Air arrives in 1 business day and is guaranteed except during the holiday season. It includes $100 in insurance. We may require 1-3 business days for order processing in addition to shipping, please contact us before ordering if your order is time-sensitive.

For International shipments:
Mail is shipped by the US Postal Service and will transfer to your government mail service upon entry into your country. Packages may incur customs or duty fees that are the responsibility of the customer. Please check with your local government authority for more information about imports.
> USPS First Class International Mail usually arrives within 2-3 weeks but is not guaranteed. Certain countries do not offer tracking service for First Class Mail.
> USPS Priority International Mail usually arrives within 2 weeks but is not guaranteed and may be slowed down by customs clearance upon import.
Local Pickup
Neighborly also offers local pickup for all online orders from our brick and mortar shops in Chicago. For any order placed with the local pickup option, you will receive a notification as soon as your order is ready for pickup, usually within 24 hours. Please check here for our current pick up hours.
Time Sensitive Orders
Once your order is in the hands of the shipping service, packages can be delayed for any number of reasons and even though certain services are guaranteed, that does not mean it will arrive on time, it only means that if it doesn't, we can submit for a refund on the shipping charge. If your order is time sensitive we HIGHLY recommend contacting us before placing your order or immediately after and let us know that you are in a hurry!
Lost or Damaged Packages
Please follow the online tracking information for your order carefully. If your package does not arrive when it is estimated to be delivered, please contact us for further assistance. Neighborly is not responsible for an incorrect shipping address that is provided to us. If the package is returned due to an incorrect shipping address, the customer will be responsible for the cost of reshipping.
We take the greatest care when packaging your order for shipment, but from time to time, wild elephants may run over your package or it may fall into a black hole. Please contact us as soon as possible, but within 30 days with information about the damage (please include photos if possible) and you order number.
Returns and Exchanges
Neighborly happily accepts returns within 30 days of the date the order was delivered. If any merchandise is defective, or does not otherwise meet your expectations, it may be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days of the date of purchase. All exchanged or returned merchandise must be in original condition, and must be unwashed, unused, unaltered, and accompanied by the original sales receipt. Neighborly will not accept returns for goods that have been altered, mistreated or mishandled.
Neighborly's return policy is extended to 90 days for purchases placed between Nov. 1 - Dec. 24 to accommodate holiday shopping.

Shipping costs for returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer unless due to an error on the part of Neighborly. We recommend using a carrier that utilizes tracking numbers or offers certified mail, as we will not be responsible for lost packages.
Please allow 2-3 business days for your return to be processed. Refunds can only be made to the original form of payment, otherwise store credit is offered. Funds reimbursed to your credit card will take anywhere from 24-72 hours to post to your payment account. We will confirm this transaction through email by sending you a copy of your credited receipt. Neighborly also accepts in-store returns or exchanges of online purchases.
Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Credit card transactions will process when your order is placed and be refunded as soon as possible if we are unable to fill your order.
